LET IN THE LIGHT

Architect | DKMB was the Architect of Design and Record, in collaboration with MOI Interior Solutions and utilizing DIRTT Wall Systems, for an 8,000 square feet commercial office rehab for Dunlop Protective Footwear, a part of a Warehouse, Factory, & Office facility, in Havre de Grace, Maryland. This project incorporates glazed wall panels and gypsum board wall panels in an arrangement that maximizes both natural and artificial daylight throughout the new office space.

NICE KICKS

SneakerMat, located in Prince George's County is a tennis shoe (sneakers) repair and refurbishing shop for the sports footwear enthusiast. Architect | DKMB was the Architect of Design and Record on this impressive tenant fitout, which included new wall, floor, and ceiling finishes. CHIK'N BOX

Architect | DKMB, as Architect of Design and Record, provided the necessary as-built documentation, architectural programming, design layout, permit drawings development for a Food Service Facility, serving chicken fast food items, in Pikesville, Baltimore County, Maryland. If you are ever hungry for a chicken box, please stop in to enjoy.

TIME FOR SOME HOOPS

Architect | DKMB provided the necessary planning, design, and permit drawings for the MADE Basketball Center in Rockville, Maryland. As Architect of Design and Record, we were responsible for the repair of portions of existing partition walls, redesign of the existing restroom facility and incorporation of two new age appropriate ADA accessible restrooms, installation of new basketball flooring, wall impact pads, basketball goals and backboards, and miscellaneous administrative areas, and equipment. OOH LA LA

Architect | DKMB was the Architect of Design and Record for a 2,000 square feet commercial pastry bakery Food Service Facility in Silver Spring, Maryland. The project required a new floor layout, new food service equipment design, new patron seating and circulation layout, new ADA upgrades, modified ADA restroom, new floor coverings, new and upgraded mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems. FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION

The Davage Residence is a project that involved the history and legacy of a plot of land that had been with the same family for over a century. This residential design with over 4,000 square feet of space, was constructed to replace the previous home that was razed. It is located in the Historic East Towson Community of Towson, Maryland. The project required Architect | DKMB to provide the follow professional services: Architecture (Conceptual Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Drawings, and Bidding & Negiotiation) and Construction Management (Bidding, Progress Payments, Respond to RFI's, Owner Change Request, Construction Observation, etc.). DENTAL WORK WITH A SMILE

A relocation and tenant fitout project located in Washington, the District of  Columbia. The project relocated Adventure Dental Clinic DC - I (Architect | DKMB was Architect of Record for both projects) to a new strip mall leased space, due to the existing location being redeveloped by the property developer. Architectural Programming for the new tenant fitout space included a Reception Area, Receptionist Area, Kids Gaming Area, Offices, X-Ray Rooms, Exam Rooms, Supply Rooms, Break Room, ADA Restrooms, and other dental/medical related spaces. TIME FOR AN UPGRADE

Architect | DKMB was the Architect of Design and Record for a Residential Renovation project located in Prince George's County, Maryland. The architectural programming included the alteration and renovation of the 1st Floor Kitchen and Bathroom, while the entire Basement was redesigned and built-out with a New Entry Foyer, New Utility Room, New Utility Closet, New Bathroom, New Hallways, New Closets, New Multi-Purpose Room, New Bedroom, and New HVAC Room. Contact us to learn more about this type of project.

REBUILD WITH AN ADDITION

A combination Fire-Restoration of an existing home and construction of a new Addition to same residence located in Prince George's County, Maryland. REBIRTH OUT OF ASHES

A Residential Restoration project located in Prince George's County, Maryland. As Architect of Design and Record, the restoration endeavor involved the demolition of the existing fire damaged home down to the foundation walls. Architectural Programming included a new basement, 1st level, and 2nd level with all new MEP systems, equipment, appliances, cabinetry, etc. Contact us to learn more about this type of a project.

MASONRY STANDS TEST OF TIME

A Residential House Restoration project, located in Montgomery County, Maryland, which was damaged by fire. Architect | DKMB provided architectural restoration consultant services for the restoration and the work included the demolition of interior floor/ceiling coverings down to joists and wall coverings down to stud. All interior spaces on all three (3) levels were restored to the original pre-fire conditions, per the building codes in affect within the authority having jurisdiction. Contact us to learn more about this type of project.

SHOP'N DINE

Supermercado Campos is a design project, which incorporated the relocation of an existing and successful Convenience Store, to a new and expanded location. Architect | DKMB was the Architect of Design and Record and responsible for converting an existing tenant space into a combination Convenience Store and Food Service Facility Restaurant. Our design made sure to provide easy access for all patrons, visitors, and diners. Architectural programming includes Checkout Area, Dining Areas, Private Dining, Full Service Kitchen, Storage Rooms, Restrooms, Coat Check Area, Employee Break Area, and Offices. We encourage you, next time in Aberdeen, to come and visit. MULTICULTURAL PALETTE

Architect | DKMB was the Architect of Design and Record for a Food Service Facility and Expansion Project located in Aberdeen, Harford County, Maryland. The architectural programming includes Checkout Area, Office, Retail Sales Area, Merchandising Display Areas, Beverage Self-Service Areas, Storage Areas, and Ancillary Spaces. UP IN THE AIR RESTORATION

Architect | DKMB was the Architect of Design and Record on a Condominium Restoration Project located in Washington, District of Columbia. The restoration work involved a unit on the 3rd Floor, damaged by fire, the removal of all Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FFE) and the demolition of interior unit floor/wall/ceiling coverings down to structure. All of the rooms and spaces were restored to their original condition, pre-fire, per the building codes in affect within the District of Columbia.

AUTO IN NEED OF REPAIR

Station Plaza is an outdoor strip mall, located adjacent to the Marc Train Station in Aberdeen, Maryland. The developer of the Mall, American Investment and Development Corporation, commissioned Architect | DKMB to develop tenant fitout permit drawings for the use of one of their anchor spaces into an automotive repair shop. The project included the design of a new exterior metal wall panel system to enclose an opening in the existing metal rigid frame structure. This new wall panel consisted of metal sheeting, insulation, interior wall liners, subgirts/girts, metal door assembly, and window assembly. Interior tenant spaces included repair shop, restrooms, administrative offices, checkout, and customer waiting areas. If your vehicle is in need of repair, please stop in for service.

MAKE US WHOLE AGAIN

A unit on the top floor of this apartment complex, Eaton Square, in Prince George's County, Maryland was damaged by fire. Our work as the Architect of Design and Record involved developing Restoration Permit Documents to restore the damaged unit. Architectural Programming included an entry foyer, living room, dining room, two bedrooms, and one bathroom within a 685 square feet unit. Contact us to learn more about this type of project.

LET'S TAKE A DIP

Architect | DKMB was the Architect of Design and Record for this pool renovation project, located in Silver Spring, Maryland. The project was for Rock Creek Pool, Inc., in our association with Elite Pools. We were responsible for the architectural design of the main pool enlargement and wading pool reconfiguration. In addition, our firm redesigned the existing bathhouse men's room and designed a new outdoor grill area for over 600 bathers/patrons who visit this outstanding recreational facility. 17 LIGHT - NO PUN INTENDED

The 17 Light Restaurant, Bar, and Lounge, located in downtown Baltimore at 17 Light Street near the Inner Harbor, is definitely designed to impress and judging by the reactions of visitors, it manages to do just that. Architect | DKMB (Architect of Design and Record) made sure to provide easy access for all patrons and visitors while maintaining a regal and majestic feel.  The project presented many design challenges to include ADA access, placement of walk-in coolers and freezers, as well as locating beer taps on the level below with pump lines core drilled through the concrete slab to new bar area. We encourage you to come see this masterpiece whenever you get the chance. Contact us to learn more about this type of project.

PAVING THE WAY FOR AFRICAN AMERICANS

Architect | DKMB & Associates provided the necessary exhibit research, planning, and design for Baltimore County’s Department of Parks & Recreation, Banneker Museum & Historical Park’s Phase I & II exhibition project. As the Architect of Design, the exhibition design required inclusion of multi-media equipment, with interactive components, incorporation of various significant archeological and nature artifacts, life-size replica settings, historical objects, publications, and maps. In addition, Architect | DKMB designed a new main entrance to the gallery with glazed and break away sliding glass pocket doors with three glazed transom lights above. The required conceptual documents were for exhibits to be housed within the museum’s 1,400 square feet Reception Gallery and 900 square feet Banneker Gallery.
